Not to mention my husband and I have been talking about another baby, we are not sure yet, I have always wanted 3 kids but things with the two are so good right now, I am afraid I will regret the decision to have another baby if it messes things up with the girls, I feel guilty thinking about another baby, I think mostly because I feel like Ellie needs a lot of my time, she is very jealous of her older sister, I am not worried about Eden though, she wants another brother or sister. She said Ellie is her baby and now Ellie needs a baby for herself. Then my sister and grandmother say we shouldn't do it now because of finances and the economy but if everybody waited until they were financially secure then nobody would ever have kids, because there is no such thing as financial security. Babies don't cost a lot anyway, it is when they get into their third and fourth years that they become expensive. Anyway, I am just very nervous, not to mention it is just getting to the point where I can finally get some breathing room from the kids and go and have fun for a while, but that is more scheduling and planning than a real issue if we have a willing sitter, which is hard to find, my family is so unreliable and his lives an hour away. I think now is a good time though, If I am going for my bachelors I will have at least 2-3 years depending where I stop or not before I get a job, I want all my kids to at least be in preschool before that happens. I think it is a good choice but other people's doubts make me doubt my own decisions. It doesn't help that all my husband has to say on the issue is "If it happens it happens, it is the kind of choice that has to be made for you." which really helped me a lot...not!Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-33190572026597977202009-04-07T20:16:00.000-07:002009-04-07T20:28:19.220-07:00Easter is on its way!So after a major panic attack because I realized that after paying rent this month and paying people back the money we owe them, we wouldn't have money for Easter!!! This kind of put a dent in our Easter plans, I wouldn't even have the money for chocolate to make their candy! Thankfully my sister knew our situation and told me to just pay her back next week. So I was able to go and get Easter stuff, I think I did pretty well and I even fell below my budget by $8. I found that when you are buying for two little girls that most of the candy will be on the floor the next day anyway so I went light with the candy and just got enough for the two of them. I got gum balls, candy necklaces, chocolate covered marshmallow eggs, and mars assortment. So I got the chocolate wafers as well to make the candy for them. As I was shopping I walked by and saw some pretzel sticks and thought of a great idea of dipping them in chocolate and either Easter themed sprinkles(which I don't have) or Easter colored chocolate(which I do have). So I am satisfied that we got them enough, it was a close call though! Anyway, Eden will just have to live without her Tinker Belle costume for a little longer. If I can think of any other cool Easter ideas I will let you know.Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-77040371913248665262009-03-30T10:30:00.000-07:002009-03-30T11:09:48.333-07:00Have a Green Easter!Hey, I actually found some pretty interesting ideas for green Easter ideas. My favorite was making a grass basket instead of buying fake grass. I am not sure I have enough time though to do this now because I only have 13 days left. Sounds awesome and easy.

Another good idea is using natural dying agents for the eggs, like beat and carrot juice among other things. I think I am going to try that this year and see how it turns out.

Like I said, I am making home made chocolates this year and I am still looking for some other neat ideas. I was thinking of letting the girls make their own Easter baskets with cereal boxes and tape and maybe toilet paper rolls ribbon and paints or construction papers. Many possibilities there and I think they would have fun with it.

In fact the whole grass basket had me thinking of the possibilities of making a mint/dark chocolate themed Easter basket, that would be pretty neat to have real mint leaves among yummy dark chocolate. Anyway, I am gonna get back to brain storming.Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-36016700033952012852009-03-26T13:58:00.000-07:002009-03-26T14:12:27.287-07:00<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 299px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghkyxxgS2WSdAihM1chHi3JSXCCaENLRUeAtjXIH0s0fScMj6MOrKDix5-gQ4m9uVErTzp-yxWjK9VjKW9iumH_vfafb2l45PbjnCAVgORWm7oFYw_YKeGzLVOg02_BvLprLLkrCCU23U/s400/easter2008.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317604062521038194" />

With Easter coming up I was just reminiscing about Easters' past and wanted to go smaller this year than we usually do. We usually get them everything under the sun. Easter is like a second Christmas to them. Christmas is when they get all their indoor toys and heavy clothes and stuff and Easter is when they get their outside toys and spring/summer clothes. I think we go overboard though and I don't want them to get used to getting a lot, I don't want them to take things for granted. This year I bought candy molds and am making their Easter candy myself. I can't wait! I also got them some plants to grow that were in ceramic egg cups. You have to break the top of the 'egg' and just water it and let it grow. I found these at Lowe's for nearly $3/ea. with a variety of different flowers to choose from. We usually don't get things for them until the last minute because I am so bad at waiting to give them stuff, I love how excited and happy they get. We are getting our 3 year old, Eden, a Tinker Belle costume, which she has been begging for, for about a month now. I am not sure yet what I am getting for our other daughter Ellie, who is almost 2 now.

Gotta run, I am gonna try to find some Easter freebies around for you, if not some good green ideas for Easter.Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-14635062091758345482009-01-29T09:10:00.001-08:002009-03-26T13:39:34.210-07:00Quick updateI just came accross this today while surfing the web so I thought I would share it really quick!
Total Cran Crunch Cereal SampleCrystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-67854143231416904662009-01-20T11:49:00.000-08:002009-03-26T13:40:45.409-07:00What a Hiatus!!!Wow, I have taken a long break from this blog but have recently been put out of work again and have decided to do something semi-productive with my time.Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-10906856104963064312008-07-29T16:46:00.000-07:002008-07-29T18:49:18.418-07:00Woo!Sorry I haven't been updating frequently lately but I just started working a 3rd shift job so things have been hectic. I work until seven in the morning and then spend a little time with the wee fetus' and head of to bed until around four in the pm. After that it is basically cleaning, taking care of the children and making dinner. I might have about half an hour in there to do my own thing for five minutes. I will try updating as often as possible but just this short amount of time I have had to fight with the children for the time and jump up a few times to save a stack of DVD+Rs from the grips of my savage one year old all the while being jostled around on my bed from my three year old jumping and dancing on my bed(which she took upon herself to strip of comforter, pillows, down pillow-top and sheets) to Johnny Cash singing about Hank Williams coming to town...Can you say circus?

Okay, well I will try and update with some free samples at least every weekend, hopefully more frequently. Also I got some more of my samples in the mail I'll let you know what they are and if they were worth it.Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-53387817608642653412008-07-17T07:30:00.000-07:002008-07-17T07:36:22.428-07:00Winners!Congratulations to Mar! I have never had Crystal Light before, mostly because I thought it would taste like crap.

WOW! Was I ever wrong! I loved this, it was delicious! I don't know if it is only this flavor or the whole lot but I intend to find out.

Now I am out to spread the word to others who haven't yet tried this wonderful and healthy drink.

I thought Vitamin Water was healthy but Crystal Light has no Sugar or Fat and only 5 calories per serving! When I saw that I felt like somebody had slapped my face! I don't know how they pack so much flavor into something that is basically 5 calories and some vitamins! This is the real vitamin water, I think I will be sticking with this now, the only thing it is missing is the cute little blurbs on the side of the packaging, talking about how that particular flavor will affect everyday situations in very exaggerated ways.

Anyway, I have (2)two boxes of Crystal Light On the go up for grabs.

To win you can:

1)Leave a comment with a recipe for a healthy SNACK, that you think would go well with Crystal Light. The snack has to be quick and easy but most of all it has to taste good! I love food, so it will have to be delicious! I will judge this myself.

OR

2)You can blog about my contest and tell people how great Crystal Light is. You have to have a link to my blog and a link to the Crystal Light web page in the blog. The winner for this method will be chosen at random. If you choose this method please e-mail me with your url to the blog post and your name so that I will know. If you are entering this way, when you link to my contest use this URL; http://mamasampler.blogspot.com/2008/07/crystal-light-contest.html

Each winner will receive (1)Crystal Light On The Go random flavor and (1) Crystal Light Immunity On The Go Cherry Pomegranate, each of these boxes contain 10 packets of Crystal Light.

Rules:
1 entry per person, per method. The same person cannot win both prizes. People from the continental US only please. I reserve the right to change or add rules at my discretion. All entries must be received by midnight on Wensday July 16th. Winners will be notified on Thursday July 17th.

Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com51tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-20336647555607303352008-07-09T12:27:00.000-07:002008-07-09T13:06:02.463-07:00Ban Vs. DoveI recently got two deodorant samples in the mail. 1 Ban Invisible Solid in the Sweet Surrender scent and 1 Dove Ultimate Clear in the energizing grapefruit and lemongrass scent. Both smell invigorating and delightful.

The real test for a deodorant for me though is how long it lasts. For this test I kept all other factors besides the deodorant the same and before each trial I showered.

The first day I tried the Ban, mostly because it was the closer one to my location at the time of drying off after the shower. I have to say I love both scents equally, they are very refreshing. After I put the Ban on I went through my day like normal and by about 6-8pm I could tell it was wearing off slightly. I could smell B.O. under the scent of the deodorant. It wasn't bad but noticeable, all in all Ban had a good run.

The next morning after I showered I put on the Dove deodorant. Again pleasant smell, and again I went about my normal day. However the Dove was still going strong at 2am before I went to bed...in fact it is still going strong right now, I haven't yet had a chance to shower today so I would say hands down, if I can give a long lost friend a hug after not having time to take a shower for a day and I still smell awesome then Dove is the winner!

Anyway, it is not like I am a huge sweater, but I would say I fall in the normal perspiration range. So if you need something long lasting Dove would be the way to go, ban I guess would be good for people who don't perspire much or who's sweat was fairly low on the odor-meter. Even though I don't sweat a lot, my sweat ranks high on the odor-meter so it's awesome to know Dove can work wonders for me.

While we are on the subject, I also got some Fresh Mint Sensodyne in the mail and I LOVE it after the first use I could tell a difference in the sensitivity level of my teeth. My teeth have never been very sensitive but lately they are crazy sensitive. Probably a sign that I should go get a dental check up but right now I have no insurance and can't afford it. What I can afford though is a nice big tube of Sensodyne! lol =P

Well on the today's freebie list;

SunSilk Shampoo sample, awesome!
Degree
Southwest Body Cream Sample
GBC Kit Just check it out, there is a selection of samples to choose from.

Request a FREE sample of Belly Butter from Mommy's Bliss.

Call: 1- 877-457-4955 to request free sample. Condoms and my position was that they were both about equally effective forms of birth control. My friend however, argued that condoms must be more effective because when withdrawing you still have the factor of precum. Well here is achart from the FDA that proves me right.

I just don't understand why people would even use condoms, unless they were sporting spermicide, because if not then they are only 1-5% more effective as just withdrawing.

Most of the barrier methods aren't reliable anyway, if you want any real preventative measure it would be sterilization, hormonal or Intrauterine Devices. If you are only using barrier and natural methods don't be surprised if they fail.

We use condoms and have tried many different styles and brands and to be truthful I can't tell any difference between them. We have been using them since we got together four years ago and we have 2 beautiful little girls to show for it. (I'm hoping for a boy next)You think we would learn, I plan on getting steralized after the third, for some reason they won't let you do it unless you have three children by the same father or you have to be 26. I am only 23, if I make it to 26 without getting pregnant again that would probably be a miracle.

I want a third sometime but hopefully not until we are situated, because of my grandmother we sold our house to buy hers and then she backed out last minute. So now we don't really have a stable place to stay yet.

Josh has a pending apprenticeship as well so hopefully he gets that.

Anyway I wanted to share the information on the birth control, I thought it was pretty interesting.Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-58922376257122824172008-07-05T19:51:00.000-07:002008-07-08T22:28:21.735-07:00More Awesome Freeness!Hope everybody is having a great holiday weekend! The Mine was warming and it did feel good but my husband said the Your lubricant didn't really make anything feel different. Then when we were mixing the lubricants I was expecting some awesome feelings but nothing happened! The commercials make you think it is going to make your groins explode in orgasmic pleasure when the two lubricants mix but nothing happens. The marketing for it was cool and the packaging is awesome, but pretty much all it is is a pretty package. I mean the bottles of lubricants are conveniently shaped as well for added uses, if they made the bottles vibrate it would be worth paying the ridiculous price, at least at the end of the day we would have a self love kit and not just some overpriced warming lubricant. If it did anything for anybody else let me know. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody based on our experience with it though.Crystal Sixberryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00631167100822030165noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947788874882734799.post-27631876958376227422008-07-04T17:02:00.000-07:002008-07-08T22:26:50.601-07:00Wal-Mart SamplesI don't know who knows about this, but if you don't know about it; on the Wal-Mart website they give many free samples away. I have gotten quite a few. Most of them are really awesome. If you haven't been there Check it Out! Keep checking back frequently because they run out of the good samples really quick and they are always putting more samples up there. Also even if there is a sample available that was already there, you can get another one because they put it back up, it is not the same sample offer as the one before.

Also Walgreens beauty department gives out free samples. When I went all I got were lotion samples but other locations might have different samples.

I just signed up to get free samples from these places as well:
2x Ultra Tide with Dawn Stain Scrubbers
free baking soda toothpaste and other baking soda offers.
Scotch-Brite Brite Ideas
Clean and Clear Morning Burst Oil Absorbing Sheets
Uncle Harry's tooth paste sample
Stevita
Sally Hanson Cosmetics
Trillium Paper
Stride Gum
Free Soy candle
Free Coffee Sample
Dove shampoo Sample
Beyond Seven Condoms sample

I'll be sure to let you all know when I recieve free samples and will also review the ones I get.
